The Andaman has 325 islands which cover an area of 6,170 square km and Nicobar has 247 islands with an area of 1,765 square km. Kunchikal Waterfall is so Famous. But Why?

Kunchikal Waterfall is located in Nidagodu Village in the Shimoga district of Karnataka state. It is formed by the Varahi river. The several waterfalls formed by the other rivers flow down with the Varahi river, adding elegance to the location. Now the question is why is it so famous? The answer is it is known as India’s Highest Waterfall and Asia’s Second Highest Waterfall. The total height of the fall is 445 meters (1493 feet). Due to Mani Dam and underground power generation station, the water flow is gently reduced in a normal season and visible only in the rainy season i.e. from July to September. It is within the restricted area, Gate pass is required to visit there and it is issued at Hosangadi village. To reach there, the nearest airport is Mangalore International airport which is about 138 km from Kunchikal Waterfall. Wild Life Sanctuary within 30 km from Chandigarh

Some of you may get shocked by knowing the fact that the Wildlife Sanctuaries are in fact so near to Chandigarh, but yes, it’s true. When someone talks about Andaman & Nicobar, the first thing comes to your mind about South Andaman PORT BLAIR – Capital of Andaman, Havelock – Known for Asia’s Cleanest Beach . But in this I am not  going to talk about the Destinations that have been explored widely, rather I will make you explore the Hidden Gems of Andaman – Middle Andaman & North Andaman . You will know about how you can reach there, what to explore, what makes it different from South Andaman. Let’s Start with Middle Andaman , there is only one Airport / Jetty from where you can reach Andaman and start your Journey, Port Blair. From here you can Hire Taxi (bit Expensive though) or you can opt for Local Bus / Sharing Cabs. Middle Andaman’s main Towns are Baratang,  Rangat, Mayabunder . Shali Tibba     If you love to trek and explore the Hidden places near Shimla then Shali Tibba is the one, where you can enjoy 360` view of the amazing valley. It is also the highest peak in Shimla District. There is a Beautiful temple on the top dedicated to goddess Bhima Khali. It is surrounded by Shimla, Mashobra, Fagu and Narkanda. The road leading to the base camp, Khatonal Village. It is about 45 km from Shimla and takes 2 hours to reach there. From here you have to trek for 6 km to reach the top.
